The switch comes one at about 2/3 throttle, though we call the WOT
switch. It stops closed loop and enriches the mixture.

On some cars, there is so much air flow from the head to the intake that
opening up the cap leans things out and stops engine. Should not be the
case on yours, since there is a very restrictive bit of plastic in the path.

That's the "frequency valve". It is a PCM device that regulates your
fuel flow in response to the OXS and ECU. It can be tested/adjusted
with a meter that measures duty cycle.

They do go bad, but I can't see (being blind) how the WUR could create
the problem you have. Unless maybe you replaced vacuum lines and put
the check valve in backwards?
