Cleaning the inside of DOT headlights

I have not ever taken apart DOT VAG lights, but I have helped someone take
apart DOT Nissan lights.  We preheated it in an oven at the lowest
temperature and then pried the lens off the housing very carefully with a
screwdriver.  Assuming your lights are glued together an not fused then this
could work.  For detailed instructions you might search on Angel-eyes kits.
 That is what we were putting in his Maxima and the kit did come with
instructions for all this.
