Cleaning the inside of DOT headlights

John,

Whatever you do, don't rub the mirror finish : this stuff is so thin, you'll
get to the bare plastic in one or two strokes. Ask me how I know...

Now, if there is dust/fog/stuff on the reflector too, you must find a way to
dislodge it with a proper liquid. Maybe some dishwasher soap diluted in hot
water ?

You can use liquid, a long thin screwdriver or stick and some towels (like a
big Q-tip). Rinse with isopropyl alcohol or deionized water.
