Fuel pump issues

Ordered a new fuel pump the other day for my 1990 Audi 100 TQ Sport Exklusiv. The original fuel pump is the Bosch 040-pump, delivering 102 l/h @ 6,5 bars (according to Bosch).

The fuel pump I got was the 023-pump, and the guy at the parts counter said it would be a direct drop-in, and since I wasn't in a place to argue I said "ok", paid and left.
When I got home I checked the specs of the pump, and the 023-pump delivers 168 l/h @ 5 bars. So, more fuel at less pressure.

Before I get in luggage compartment and change the fuel pump - will this work, or will I get a car that won't start?

Any thoughts about this?
