I had my mechanic (known to the list) look at it. They checked wiring,
connections, looked for corrosion and water ingress. They didn't find
anything unusual. It's only "failed" twice since then, both times
after sitting from Friday night to Sunday afternoon.  And it's has
started both times with some persistence.  But I have no faith in it.

I like the idea of a flaky fuel injector relay. I'll check it when
I get home next weekend.
