Thanks for the pointer to the Automobile mag story on the 90 quattro. Its
companion car, the 20 valve Avant, not only keeps me misty, but has a
softening effect on the wallet.  Regardless, I keep it rolling. It is
currently in the shop getting all its underbody rubber replaced and new rear
shocks. 

I view the '91 as an aging thoroughbred that has to be held in check, and my
allroad as a young but spirited quarter horse that has to be encouraged to
go fast.

The '91 car currently has 313,000 miles on the clock.   Pix at:
