The Wallbro pumps work fine and will flow just fine for CIS systems that require high
pressure and evern most EFI systems.
As you found, the problem was not fuel delivery.
If there was noise, it was likely cavitation to the pump - the pump was pulling fuel
faster than can be delivered. This can be a problem on the Coupe GT and similar cars.
All that said, it is nice to have the proper Bosch pump in there - the inlet is less
restrictive. You may however encounter this problem again even with the Bosch Pump.

The pump that was in there tried valiantly but was a tiny walbro unit that could have
fit entirely inside the bosch unit. Poor thing hardly stood a chance when it was new,
much less when it had worn out!
