Stumped

Hello, everyone!

Car is still not running properly.  Doesn't always start (rarely does, 
in fact) and there is a strong smell of unburnt gas in my cabin while 
I'm  cranking.  Also, there is a huge oily puddle behind my tailpipe 
after cranking and even when the car has been running for a while.  I'm 
thinking there's a problem with my spark.  When I held a plug near a 
ground and cranked, my spark was in fact light orange, not the 
white-blue I've been told it should be.

I'm at my wit's end!  Any suggestions?
