Bead blasting would be the LAST thing I'd recommend. In most cases just disconnecting and reconnecting the connectors should rejuvenate the contacts. Contact enhancer like DeoxIT would be the next step (I've seen DeoxIT @ Radio Shack). Dielectric grease can be used to minimize oxidation in places where moisture may be a problem. Anything more aggressive can damage the contact surface and create more problems than it solves.

Can anyone suggest anything better than "contact cleaner" for cleaning
terminals? Remembering my experience with my Scirocco, I am thinking of pulling
the fuse box and bead blasting it. Can't foresee any problem with that,
any other opinions?
