5000cs door handle/latch

  I had posted a couple of months ago about door opening problems with 
my 87 5000CSTQ driver's door. In cold weather it would open from the 
outside but in cold weather the inside handle would not work.  Well I 
procrastinated about doing anything, and today I took the 5000 as it was 
our first snow. Now the problem is reversed, the inside handle works 
well, but the outside handle will not open the car door at all.

This is puzzling. Opposite symptoms without any overt change in 
anything. Short of the door latch/handle just wearing some more, I am 
curious what these symptoms could point to. Door latch just going crazy, 
loose parts shifting so that first one handle works then the other.

Anyone have any clue as to what may be going on here.
