Anyone having trouble getting their messages spam blocked

Great, so you have something to work with.  How about running straight 
alcohol in the reservoir and doing the "feeble dribble" thing for some 
time to see if it starts improving?  I'd try a cycle of ten second 
on/ten off over and over again to make it easy for the pump.

Also, your reverse suction idea is probably a good one, why not try for 
more than "feeble"?  Do you have one of those mityvac type tools handy? 
  If you can any flow at all in the opposite direction, again, try to 
get the nozzle to "suck" in some alcohol.
