When I was building military hardware and space hardware, the engineering 
required a minimum of 3 threads showing, after tightening to spec.

As long as the 6mm more unthreaded part doesn't create a problem
(running out of threads while tightening) they ought to be fine - since
they are also suspension bolts they'll be the appropriate grade of steel.

They'll just stick out a bit further.

Of course, you could carefully cut 6mm more threads on them (use plenty
of cutting oil!) and cut 10 mm off the end...
