MFTS Wiring Resting on Thermostat Housing -100q NF Engine

The MFTS wiring on my 100q (NF Engine)is essentially resting on the
thermostat
housing and I am so surprised that the wires are still intact (but beat up).

Has anyone modified this area so that the MFTS screws on the side of the
upper
hose housing or the wiring is routed 90 dgrees to the side so that the
connector is on the side?
