battery booster

I have a cheapo Harbor Freight one (cost me around $10) - I put it on my MGB's
battery in October of last year, and
just got around to starting the car for the first time since then, yesterday. It
kept the battery fully charged and the car
started right up. This included cranking for about 4 minutes with the coil
unplugged to build some oil pressure, and

about 5 minutes of cranking until I blew out the fuel line....

Hi Y'all,

Got a small problem. We have a Ford Ranger ('95 if it matters) which
is used VERY little until hunting season comes around. The battery
tends to draw down to the point it won't start the engine. I figure
its caused by all those little parasitic loads drawing current all
the time (clock, lock radio receivers, etc.). I also figure a simple
little booster charger should solve the problem. So...

Do you have a favorite which works well for you for this purpose?

Bob
