These two are pretty fair for the year and whatnot, and pretty close
to the prices we see here in Houston. The first one is for sure a
manual trans, though. Can't tell from the second ones pics, but I
think it is too. The A6's are going to be a bit bigger, and far more
of them will be automatics. And, these days they end up being about
the same price. A couple of things to check for are leaks on the cam
tensioner gaskets on the 98 and newer 1.8T;s and the 30V V6's. The
earlier cars have teh old 12V V6, which sacrifices a bit of power and
responsiveness for lower maintenance. It's probably my favorite
mainstream Audi engine of all time. Feel free to disagree others ;-)
(I still drive 80's 5cyls, but that's not suitable for most)

Very nice, but a little high for the year

I'd say stay away. You don't need the power, and it's going to be much
higher maintenance. Also, those turbos need to be replaced. I'd
definately be pricing that job before going any farther.

Nice, I know for your preferences they would much better in silver.
These cars also have the 2.8L 12 V, same as the older 100/A6 and the
90 you listed below. As I've shown you before, you can get a
convertible for cheaper than that. And, the color you want.

The 100 is a good price, and if indeed it has been well maintained is
not a bad choice.

Way too high for the year, b ut a nice car nonetheless.

Overall, I like the first A6 and the 1700 dolar 100. As a second
option, you could actually buy them both, or the 100 and one of the
A4's, but you would have to get them to both lower the price a bit to
get do the first option.
