  097-300-036-AX.  The VW parts outlet has one of these, a factory reman 
unit, for sale for $299.  Beats 3500+ hands down.  Might make someone's 
beloved B4 a keeper.

The procedure is you order it from your local Audi dealer (VW dealers 
can't order it) and they get it for you.  There's only one, though, so 
it might be wise to move in it in a timely manner.
