In a couple years, that setup would be ideal for brake swaps : many
suppliers are working on electrical e-brakes with the actuators already
installed in the drum-in-hat e-brake. That will only need a signal to
operate the e-brake. No more frozen e-brake cables !

Boxster rear calipers do have an odd e-brake configuration. Its  a drum
inside the hub/rotor. That would make your e-brake inoperable, but then,most
are anyway.
