To add one quick note, the A/C requires the recirc to be enganged. The A/C
is actually in the car, and to pull air past it, the car has to be in recirc
mode. It then pulls it through the white plastic housing outside, and then
into the car. That's another area I have to address, as the foam seal in the
recirc flap is gone. So, I need to take that apart and fix it as well.
Oh, and it is quite an A/C system, once working correctly, Probably at least
twice the cooling capacity of the V8Q we had, and that was with R12 still in
it. This car has 134A.
Ahhhh, the joys of old Audi ownership, still cheaper than the monthly
payments of the Camry ;-)

capacity of the A/C is insufficient to cool flow through air from outside,
so the system uses recirculation to cool the air in the cabin ...
