No start condition - 1988 90Q

To do that you have to remove the top half of the intake manifold.

Just saying, something seems unclear here. Is this a US car?  By that I 
mean a type 89 (aero) vs. type 85 (brick).

Wire from where?  The spark plug wires on these engines won't let you do 
that, so was it the coil wire?  If so... check the dizzy cap and rotor. 
  How old are they?
