FS: 1986 Audi Quattro SWB Conversion

Several reasons not to use the 4000 w/s.
It is wider, meaning you fabricate or buy the sport Q roof instead of just shorten the urq roof.
It is different angle, meaning you have to find 4000 2 dr doors (not easy)
Now that you have a the wider roof you need to fabricate C pillars that are also at a different angle (if you didn't buy a SQ roof)
Obviously the B pillar is different as well.
All in all, it makes the conversion more than twice as difficult and expensive.

There is a up side, start with a 4000q.  It seems more structural to graft on coupe rear quarters at the pinch weld (same pan) than to convert the w/s frame.  Use 4000 2 dr B pillars down to the rocker.  Still have roof and C pillars to be correct, but you can start without starting with a UrQ.
