Perhaps. I have had luck on other cars reaching in from one of the heat
duct openings with a flexible "grabber" (a spiral spring thing which has
4 wire jaws that come out when you press a button on the end)
I was lucky and the carcass was at the bottom of the airbox and came
out easily. Need to be careful that you don't end up snagging parts of
the airbox itself with this method.
Seems that if you are careful and don't yank too hard, there is little
downside. And it takes only a couple of minutes to remove one of the
heating tubes to gain access.
