'91 CQ Valve Cover Leak & Melted Fan Fuse

I need help with two silent problems on my '91 CQ:

My 4th & 5th spark plug holes have oil in them. The car runs fine. Any write
ups/advice on how to go about replacing the valve cover gasket and what else
should be done while everything is apart?

The full speed fan 30A fuse is melted. The fuse still works, high speed fan
works and the car doesnt overheat. This happens every summer. How can I
prevent this?
