Not to answer your direct question,but I'd just add that terminal layout and

configuration is part of the specs, as well as case configuration, 
not just overall dimensions.

Curious if anyone has managed to properly fit a size 94R battery under the 
back seat of a Audi type 44?

I've seen the following two battery groups available at Walmart (EverStart 
Maxx / Energizer Max )

Group 108-H6	11.38 x 6.875 x 7.5 (LxWxH) 770CCA
Group 108-94R	12.44 x 6.94 x 7.5  (LxWxH) 765CCA

For reference, here are the BCI specifications:
Group 41 	11.6 x 6.9 x 6.9
Group 48 	12.1 x 6.9 x 7.6
Group 94R 	12.4 x 6.9 x 7.5
