The Nokian WR G2 is indeed an all-season _and_ wears the snowflake symbol. Nokians tread patterns have been widely copied, but the real difference is the compound.
We are on our second set of "G2s" (as of 2 weeks ago) on our 05 A6 and I think they are the best tire for that car summer _and_ winter.
Amazing traction in ice, deep snow, wet, and dry. Colorado sees quite a bit of all 4, so these do very well on the car my wife drives, and I don't want do the switching I do on my cars. They are expensive, but are also warranteed to 50k. On a Quattro you will be good to get 20k out of a set but you get pro-rated money toward the next set. My wife loves them and that is worth quite a bit also. I don't worry my phone will ring in the blizzard and have her wanting me to come get her in the URQ with Nokian Hakkepiliita 4s. Which are no longer made, but I think was Nokian's _best_ snow tire. FWIW Hak 4s will make you like a like school girl in the dry. Don't push em in the dry!! (don't ask)
If you can't tell, I'm a Nokian fan. Expensive yes. But I think you get what you pay for.
I'm also running the Nokian Z G2 summer performance tires on the S6 for summer use and they are amazing. I have yet to find their limit - and yes I've tried. Nokian's niche in the marketplace is winter tires, not summer performance. Hence I have been very surprised with the Z G2s.

Am i right in thinking that some Nokian tires are indeed all-seasons but do
ear the snowflake symbol as a real winter tire ?
