87 5000CS Avant battery cable splice

Thanks Tony and Cody.

Found the splice in mine, in yet a different location. The main wire 
goes all along the floor, up the firewall, and then swings to the 
drivers side, running just at the level of the foot well heat ducts. 
Dead center of the passenger foot well there is the splice.

Wonder if they changed their manufacturing and started putting that 
splice up higher so it would not corrode?  Makes sense that they would 
need to splice this (be near impossible to run it all this way with the 
end connectors on it in an assembly line). Maybe they started having 
second thoughts about leaving an electrical splice in a wet location 
under the carpet?

Anyhow, mine is up high not on the floor, and looks good and dry from 
what I have seen on the outside.  Will cut it open and check there now.
