A4 Radio Stuck in SAFE Mode

That might not be a good idea, some of these radios go into "brick mode" 
after too many failed tries.

Anyway, try searching out there on the internet, I have heard of some 
(VW?) radios that require a special procedure to get them back to being 
ready to accept your code, like leaving the radio on (engine 
running...?) for an hour or something like that.

I wonder why it isn't responding?  I can't see why a mechanic would try 
to wake it back up and fail.
