A4 Radio Stuck in SAFE Mode

Make sure you entered the code correctly. For example, let's say
your radio code is 1234. The wrong method is to simply
press the 1 2 3 and 4 buttons in succession. What you're supposed
to do instead, is to press each of the 1 - 4 buttons multiple times
until the correct code shows on the display. So, since we started
with 1000, you would leave the 1 button alone, press the 2 button
multiple times until you see the second digit become "2", and then
repeat the same procedure for the 3 and 4 buttons, corresponding
to the 3rd and 4th digits.
That's a common mistake on these radios.
