Would NG engine mate to 4KQ tranny/chassis?

The NG cam will help, but the exhaust needs to be enlarged to get the full
advantage from it. You can swap over everything from the JT (head, intake,
etc) but would probably want to keep the 3 into 1 exhaust from the 4000.
But, part of the NG gain is also the displacement increase.

Yes, you will have to mix and match the pulleys to get it working, as you
noted. Make sure you get the correct water pump for the pulleys you are
using as well.

As much as I hat to say it, at some point, the 12V V6's look good. 170+hp,
and cheap these days. The IA chip takes care of the lazy throttle response
as well.

Maybe I need to get some sleep ;-)
