I like it!  Duct tape is amateurish, but the zip ties for reinforcement is brilliant!  A+  !!
Of course nobody cared... Ice race cars are usually a cage supported by duct tape and bubble gum.  LOL

It's actually the opposite, Peter. Brought a toolbox with me to the ice
track this Sunday, first time in years, and sure enough the urQuattro blew
the intercooler to throttle body hose on the first outing in the morning...

BUT, (read that carefully, Mark R.), I managed to tape the rip with bits of
duct-tape, and slip 5 zippy-ties over the patch to save the day. Boost was
almost all there, I just kept the revs low enough to not blow it again. And
guess what ? NOBODY cared or congratulated me for that marvelous repair in
the field, feet in the snow, on a hot engine, about 6 inch from the turbo.
Nobody ! What a bunch of clueless people...
