The urq has the battery under the rear seat, so even more cake since there
are no rear doors or hatch.  Even better in fact.  Thanks!  I'll get another
socket and wire that puppy in.

If it was a large chassis car it would be cake, but even on the small cars
it's not a big deal. Just get a female lighter socket (preferably with a
cover when not in use) from Radio Shack or your FLAPS and run some wires
right to the battery. On a big car with the battery under the seat one could
just leave the socket hanging out from under the seat and when needed place
the PV panel on the rear deck. On the cars with the battery under the hood
you'd need to pass the wiring through to the cockpit and maybe leave the
socket in the glovebox or something to place the PV panel on the dash.

That way there's no tapping into and messing with the factory wiring. Want
to go back to stock? Just pull the new wiring out, voila nobody would ever
know it was there.
