Oh good..... There is actually a double-DIN Clarion in the Crutchfield catalog I 
was looking at. I still have a lot of CD music that I listen
to - maybe I would listen to less if I had the ability to plug my iPhone into 
the car stereo, but I would still want to have a CD player, if not
a changer. I also want a double-DIN unit because I can't stand the small buttons 
and the non-stock look of the single-DIN with a large
blank space around it....

The Jetta wagon is still the "good" one; the exterior styling has been tweaked 
but it's still the previous style and hasn't been given the Westmoreland Rabbit 
treatment.

I have an Alpine stereo (one of the ones designed for iPods that has no CD 
player) in my Passat where the colors match perfectly; if you're interested let 
me know and I'll take some pictures.
