I'd be surprised if the elder among us did not have a legacy of Volvos,
prior to Audis.

I started with a 544 in 1965, went through about 6 122s, did a ground up
restoration on a '67 1800, had a 140 POS, and then graduated into various
Euro luxury iron. That B18/B20 engine was like a model T Ford motor - simple
and completely indestructible. 

My first Audi was the '91 200 I bought new and still drive, and now the
allroad.....

Life was simpler in the 122..........
