new b6a4 owner -- what do I need to know?

Bill & Nick,

On the TB replacement being " waaay down the road. "
The mileage is certainly low enough, but I would be worried about the
'time' factor.

The car is ~4y old & TB replacement at ~5y intervals is recommended if
the mileage limit isn't reached. This is especially important in high
temperature locations where heat can age the belt faster than in more
temperate locations. So, if this were my car, I would be replacing the
TB sometime within the next year. Exactly when would depend on when the
car was sold initially.

Cheers,
