Any suggestions as to a cheap radio with CD and aux in or Ipod controls?

It would need to be single DIN, as the car is a C4 A6.

Thanks,

Tom

I would absolutely go with #2 - aftermarket CD with iPod capability. They are very inexpensive these days, and you have a wide
range of choices, even in double-DIN of that is what your car had originally.

I have a 95 A6q with a stock radio that is driving me nuts.

I like to listen to books on tape when I drive and the current tape player is very finicky about what it will and will not play.

So, it is time for a change.

The solution would be one of 3 things:

1) a working stock radio (anything from late 80's to 1995 will likely work)

or

2) a compatible non stock radio that accepts CDs and Aux input / Ipod connection

or

3) recommendations for a cheap new unit that will work with my car and can play CDs with Aux and/or Ipod inputs.

My library also offers the books on tape as downloadable files that are Ipod compatible. So, I'm also looking for a cheap Ipod if anyone has one of those hanging around. I think that just about anything but a shuffle will work, since I would rather listen to my books on tape in the order they were written, rather than try to piece the story together from a non-linear shuffle-inspired fashion.

Thanks,

Tom
