Opposing view: I tried that in my '99 A4. Although it sounded OK, trying
to get it to eject was problematic. I'd push the eject button and it would
go click-click-click, but not eject. I ended up prying with a butter knife
and pulling on the connection wire. It took a bit of effort, but it came
out.  I did not try inserting it again.
