5 yrs old is too late.  You need to get him a souped up power wheels here
soon.  An aquaintance of mine in Nor Cal bought his 4yr old a pink. Vette
power wheels,  painted it blue, swapped to a higher output battery pack and
went from a small single to large dual rear motors.  Thing does cookies and
20mph.
