5000CS door lock parts

The parts are hard to get. They come with the little metal rod and are about $45 each new, but the drivers side part is NLA with no stock anywhere. The passenger side ball socket can be threaded on the drivers side rod. I've been considering making some of these from a soft metal with a clip to hold them on, but I'm too busy with my new job, current race car project, and moving house all at the same time. I need a pair for one of my cars so I do have motivation once I get some time.
