5000CS door lock parts

It has been a few years since I pulled open the door on my '87 Scirocco,  
but when I last did it I noticed a marked similarity to the Audi lock system. 
 I can't guarantee interchange, but they might be modifiable. Even if the  
rods differ, the plastic bits might be the same. I suspect there may still  
be some availability on these. Sorry, I don't have a diagram on hand.
