hey Mike - I would say depends how much time / money you have and what you
are looking to get out of it. Motors can be had cheaply although might be
tough to get a 'good' one.  It also depends on what else it needs.. there's
a slew of common failure points that stack up as the cars get older. You'll
probably spend a couple grand on parts you might want to do while it's all
apart [ps rack + hoses, clutch, etc].

They are great little cars. If it's in good nick and you can get an engine
cheap ish ly and you can put it together w/ out too much fuss then you'd
have a nice little car for short $ and some time.

Keep in mind nicely modded, well maintained ones go for $5k tops which is
pretty cheap.
