On my A4 (99.5) and allroad ('01), once you had the window rolled all the way up, you hold the switch in the 'up' position for a half second to a second or so, and that reset the auto up/down feature. My 92 UrS only has auto down on the driver's door and I've never had to reset that. Only on the newer cars was it an issue.

Hi Y'all,
A certain unnamed idiot (not me because I niver meak mistreaks)
turned on my, er... his, dome light of his RS2ed urS6 and then walked
away frm the car for several days. Needless to say the battery was
drawn down fully flat - as dead as possible. I, er... He, finally
got enough of a charge into the battery that the systems ran and the
car would start. The radio had to be recoded - no problem, recoding
worked as advertised.
However... The automatic down and automatic up for the windows when
operated from the driver's controls appear to have lost their
automatic function. It is now necessary to push and hold a button to
fully open or close any of the windows. Now how do I, er... does he,
restore the automatic controls?
I'm only asking to help my idiot friend overcome my problem. ;-)
Bob
