You've been down this road before. :)
If you *must* have an Audi for $5K, I'd recommend an A6 from
about 1998. Get one with good maintenance records. And have
about $2K in reserve for a timing belt, heater core, or
other surprise. The gas mileage still won't make you happy.
If you want a car for impressing customers, find that good
used Acura sedan. Or maybe a Lexus. But really? A Camry. Or
an Accord. No, it won't handle like an Audi, but it won't
embarrass you in front of a client, either, when it fails
to start or it leaks antifreeze from the heater core.
