First I'd look at what the codes say. They should point at least to driver's
or pass. side and maybe a particular airbag.

It could be simple - I had broken wires under the driver's seat, likely from
someone's shoes. Soldered it, lasted a few years, now it's on again, will
re-solder it some day. Difference in resistance between circuits will trip
the airbag light.

Now, if the rust on the A-pillar means repairs, this can be more involved.
No BTDT but I've read that faulty airbag module would require replacement -
$$
