Locating an Audi parts place.

This is a generic Worldpac dealer : http://www.autopartscanada.ca/ that I
use once in a while to check prices, then I'll go to my friendly indie and
ask him to order them. For common stuff, they're OK. And the indie give me
garage price, so some stuff comes out pretty cheap.

www.rockauto.com is nice too, and they price their stuff in $CDN. I usually
go to the border to clear the custom myself, while my stuff waits on the US
side of the border. Calgary is a bit far from the border, no ? :-)

eBay is often filled with old Audi stuff. If you have the correct part
number, searching it is easy. If you don't, you'll end with thousands of
items, and none is the one you're looking for. If you don't have ETKA, then
PM me and I'll find you the p/n. Ask the seller to use USPS (US Postal
service) and there won't be any customs fees.

And then, if you're really stuck, call my FLAPS here in Montreal, they have
a huge inventory of parts for older rides like yours and mine (an urQ).
Autolectra, 514-342-1044. Tell them I told you so, you'll get better price.
They'll ship if you ask.

PS : that Trabant film on Discovery you told us to record, was it a joke you
made about being an Audi film ? I didn't watch it yet, I'm wondering...

-----Message d'origine-----

Does anyone have a good reference for purchasing Audi 5000 parts via the
Internet?

My local (Calgary, Alberta) independent Audi parts source has disappeared
since the elderly owner retired. Obviously, I would prefer a Canadian
source to avoid customs problems etc. but I have dealt with US sources in
the past.

Any assistance would be appreciated.

Ian
