Audi A6

We have had an 05 for 3 years now, and love the car. It is beautiful, runs great, and the interior is a benchmark of the industry. (IMO)
The drawbacks so far have been;

AC mildew smell that the dealer says can not be cured
AC blows hot from some ports for no reason and throws no code
ABS module just took a dump
Right rear tail light out sporadic warning, in spite of new bulbs and pristine connections
  
I have heard from others that the taillight issue is somewhat common to the model. Frustrating items indeed, but it is a better car than the 98-04 A6. They seem to be getting back to better quality materials like I find in my 95 S6, which was so lacking from 95 to 05.
My $.02 and worth most of it.

My wife's 1999 A6 is getting a bit long in the tooth and I'm thinking of 
eplacing it with a later C6 model. Probably a 2005 through 2007 (unless I win 
he lottery).
Anyone know of any particular problems to look out for?
