Mold/mildew/bacteria in the A/C evaporator condensation tray can be cured
with some patience and a BG product called Frigi-Fresh, an aerosol spray.
First make sure your condensation tray drains properly. You should find a
small water puddle under the car after parking it on a warm, humid day. It
might be wise to run a wire up the tray's drain hose to make sure the tray
drain port is not clogged.

Proper drainage being established, use the Frigi-Fresh per directions. It is
key to get good direct access to the A/C air intake. It may require more
than one treatment. Although my old Audi has never developed the musty odor
problem, my Infiniti is definitely prone to it and I need to treat it
annually. I like to remove the glove box and under-dash panel to get perfect
access in the Infiniti. My $10 spray can of this stuff is still more than
half full after about 3 seasons of treatments.
