If you have the (I think) larger crush washer type banjo bolts, I'm pretty
sure you need the older pump with larger flats for the crush washers.  If
you're going the other way--have hoses with O-ring seals, they'll fit on
either type of pump flat.

Q-heads,

Is the steering rack and/or pump from the 89 and newer type 44, with the
O-ring seals, compatible with the earlier 5000 systems which use
crush washer seals?

In other words ... can I install the newer O-ring type rack or pump
from an '89 100 into
an '87 5000?
