I can certainly have it checked, but since it isn't really intermittent, I would think that the light would be triggered. It does it
all the time, at the rev range I mentioned. It's just not a big stumble. Drove the car 450 miles Tues-Weds with no issues.
I've replaced the coil packs in the past, and this doesn't have the same feel as when they went individually. Drive-ability was
dramatically impacted when even one of the CP's went bad.

The ECU can store codes without turning on the MIL.  For instance,a 
single misfire will be "reported", but won't trigger the MIL.
