type 44 (200QA) just won't stop :-( The braking is fine. The breaking is not.....

This is getting weird - every time I fix something on my 90 200 Quattro
Avant in preparation to sell it, something else new breaks.
Almost immediately. Most recently, I repaired a break in the brake pad
warning sensor wiring, and then found a small vacuum leak and reset
the mixture to fix a slight hesitation under acceleration. I took it out
fora test drive, and it ran great - built 1.8 bar effortlessly and kept
pulling. Until the oil pressure buzzer sounded..... I backed off, and
checked the pressure gauge, and all seemed OK. I was only a 1/4 mile from
home, so I headed back, figuring it may have been very low on oil (I had
loaned the car to my brother for 5 months). Sure enough, I found it was 2.5
quarts down, and refilled it. It was then I noticed the giant puddle of
oil just in from of the right front wheel.
I took a look and could see the return line from the oil cooler was
dripping quickly, and upon further inspection, had sprayed oil everywhere.
Seems that the steel neck of the fitting had a pin hole leak from rust.
The problem is that all the hose couplings are siezed. NOTHING wants to
come apart where the hoses connected. Not at the oil coolder. And not at
the fittings that connected to the filter hosing (fortunately, the adapters
that go between the hoses fittings and filter housing came loose from the
filter housing). But I am afraid I am going to have to cut the hoses off,
have new ones made, and then at very best, have new bungs welded to the oil
cooler. All for a car that I am, somewhat unrealistically, hoping to sell
for a grand....
Anyone have an old type 44 oil cooler and both hoses laying around
gathering dust ;-)?
Happy holidays to everyone
Dave
