Scrap value of the car is $300, maybe more, regardless of condition. I
recently scrapped an '89 100 and a local guy took it away on a flatbed for
scrap, giving me $300 after I pulled a lot of parts off of it. The engine
ran fine, but I don't think that had any bearing on the value, and I don't
think it should appreciably change the value of the car you are looking at,
considering all the other issues ...
If the 200 wasn't chipped, and wasn't flogged, then the tranny >may< last a
long time. I have an 87 5KS with auto trans and well over 200k miles on it
... transmission is fine.
