Indeed, is not a quattro and I figured if the car runs as is, I run it until, say tranny starts to give a problem or suspension, ect. At which point, most likely engine still have plenty of life to transplant into one of my QSWs.

It is not a quattro. That is all you need to know.
Yes, it seems nice. Yes, it looks just like all the other ones you see, but it is a front-wheel-drive car with lots of weight on the front end.
It won't handle like you expect it to.
Unless you want the engine to transplant into something else, I'd say,
"Thank you." and walk away.
